diy: aprons!

Christmas has come and gone, and I can now post a few photos of the goodies I made for friends and family. Introducing…. my first attempt at aprons! I made them using the pattern from Simple Sewing, my new favorite sewing book. I’m pleased with the way they turned out and everyone was happy with their handmade gift.

With all that said, I can’t even LOOK at that sewing machine for at least two weeks. I’m completely sewn out. What do you think?

  3. Apparently the snazziest apron made this holiday season is not featured here. Don’t hate!

  4. I’ll make you one, Drea! Sorry Robby & Zazzles… you know I didn’t have time to photograph the two BEST ones, hee hee.

  5. I love these! Thanks for the idea, my plans to make homemade gifts this year went awry but I will tuck this away for this year’s birthdays and “just because” gifts…and of course my OWN kitchen!

  6. Ronni, I didn’t even make one for myself! Once I have the energy to walk into my craft room that is the first order of business. I have not one sewn item for my kitchen handmade by me. How sad!

  9. I love my Xmas apron and I REALLY like the bright, lemony one! Any more of those?

  10. BTW, the pictures of the colorful buses reminded me of the Nigerian taxis and buses — wonderful, bright colors with funny or prophetic sayings.
