Today is Sunday and it is less than one week to Christmas. I’m sure you’re well aware. I love this holiday; the music, the food, the parties, the sweaters, the wrapping paper, picking out prezzies for folks and seeing their eyes light up when they unwrap the last little bit of paper. I’ve had so much fun thrifting for friends and family: a tin tray with red and purple flowers to match her kitchen for Chernara, beer mugs for Chibueze, mini piggy banks for Simone, vintage hankie for Tanisha. I can type all of those out since the gifts have already made it into their hands, but for the rest of my friends who are reading: you will not see your name here! You might see some pieces of your gift, however.
I have not lived up to my all-thrift-everything promise; I got the sewing/fabric/make something itch and have been messing around with little projects here and there and though time consuming, I get a kick out of seeing completed projects. I hope the recipients will, too!
That’s all I can post for now– don’t want to spoil anyone’s Christmas! Hope you’re all having a great weekend and aren’t going to crazy in the shops.
